William Zehfuss
William Zehfuss is Principal Trombone with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Zehfuss is on applied instrumental faculty at the College of Charleston. In the summers he is an Artist-Faculty member at the Brevard Music Center in Brevard, NC. At the invitation of JoAnn Falletta, Mr. Zehfuss was appointed Principal Trombone of the Honolulu Symphony for the 2006-2007 season. He also performed as Principal Trombone with the Hawaii Opera Theater, Chamber Music Hawaii, and the Maui Pops. In October 2000 he appeared as soloist in the world premiere of Eric Ewazen's Concerto for Trombone and Orchestra, a work he later performed with the US Army Orchestra in March 2003. Recent engagements include performances with the Atlanta Symphony, North Carolina Symphony and the Alabama Symphony Orchestra. He enjoys reading, biking, and spending time at Folly Beach.
