Ryan Leveille
Ryan Leveille has been a member of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra since 1996, serving as 2nd Percussion from 1996-2001 and as Principal Percussion from 2001 to the present. Originally from Wallingford, CT, Ryan received a Bachelor of Music degree from the Curtis Institute of Music in 1994 and a Master of Music degree from Temple University in 1996. While attending graduate school, he also served as Co-Principal Percussionist with the Haddonfield Symphony Orchestra in Haddonfield, NJ. In addition to performing with the CSO, he has also freelanced with orchestras throughout the East Coast, giving performances from Massachusetts to Florida.
Ryan is a member of Circular Congregational Church and as well as a member of the Sons of Allen at Morris Brown AME Church. Since 1995, he has also served as an active volunteer at My Sister’s House, a Trident County domestic violence shelter. He has performed for them various tasks such as court advocacy, facility repair, and public speaking.
Ryan currently resides in West Ashley with his wife, Anya Marsalek Leveille.
