Adda Kridler

Ohio native Adda Kridler, recently lauded in the Miami Herald for her "incisive energy and lovely tone," made her solo debut with the Knox County Symphony at age seven. After graduating cum laude from Harvard University studying cognitive neuroscience, Ms. Kridler completed a Master's degree in Violin Performance at the New England Conservatory. Her principal instructors have included Gregory Fulkerson, James Buswell, and Roland and Almita Vamos.

While a member of the New World Symphony in Miami, Ms. Kridler served as concertmaster under the baton of many eminent conductors including Michael Tilson Thomas, Sir Roger Norrington and Reinbert de Leeuw. As a former member of the Rembrandt String Quartet, she spent several seasons with the Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival, appearing regularly on their Chamber Classics series with Roberto Diaz, Chee-Yun and Eugenia Zukerman and others. An avid teacher and proponent of contemporary music, she served as a Visiting Professor of Violin at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, and has premiered many works and appears on several recordings on Mapleshade, Mode and Naxos Records.

This season she was the featured soloist in performances of Vivaldi's Four Seasons in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Charleston, in solo performances with the Charleston Symphony and the Firebird Chamber Orchestra, and on the Charlotte Chamber Music Series. She was appointed Assistant Principal Second Violin of the Charleston Symphony in 2007, and in addition is Concertmaster of the Firebird Chamber Orchestra in Miami and a member of the Colorado Music Festival Orchestra in Boulder, Colorado.
