Christopher Fensom
Chris Fensom became a member of the Charleston Symphony in 2005 after having held positions in the Charlotte Symphony, the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Dallas Symphony. He began his career in 1995 with the Virginia Symphony, based in Norfolk, VA as Assistant Principal Trumpet.
Originally from Canada, Chris has also been fortunate enough to travel to many parts of the world with various ensembles, such as the Eastman Wind Ensemble and Montreal Chamber Players. He has also had the opportunity to study with members of the Boston Symphony, the London Symphony and the Vienna Philharmonic.
Prior to his orchestral engagements, he earned his Bachelor’s degree at McGill University in Montreal as well as a Master’s degree from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. He currently resides in Charlotte, NC with his wife, Tara.
